Getting Started

Section titled “How long does content generation take?”Generation typically takes:
- 1-5 keywords: ~30 seconds
- 10-50 keywords: 1-2 minutes
- 100+ keywords: 5-10 minutes
You can continue using Helios while generation runs in the background.
Can I edit generated content before pushing?
Section titled “Can I edit generated content before pushing?”Yes! You can edit any headline or description directly. You can also regenerate individual headlines if you don’t like them, or replace them with custom text.
What if I change my brand profile after generating content?
Section titled “What if I change my brand profile after generating content?”Existing content won’t automatically update. You’ll need to regenerate content for affected keywords. We recommend finalizing your brand profile before generating large batches.
Content & Generation
Section titled “Content & Generation”Why do I need 15 headlines per keyword?
Section titled “Why do I need 15 headlines per keyword?”Google Ads Responsive Search Ads (RSAs) can display up to 3 headlines at once. Google tests different combinations to find the best performers. Having 15 diverse headlines gives Google more options to test, improving overall performance.
What if a keyword doesn’t have a landing page URL?
Section titled “What if a keyword doesn’t have a landing page URL?”Helios will still generate content, but quality is significantly better with landing page context. We recommend assigning landing pages to all keywords before generating.
Does Helios support multiple languages?
Section titled “Does Helios support multiple languages?”Yes! Helios supports 20+ languages and generates native content (not translations). Select your language in Settings → Account Context.
How does competitor campaign detection work?
Section titled “How does competitor campaign detection work?”Helios automatically detects keywords containing “vs”, “alternative to”, or competitor brand names. For these keywords, it generates compliant comparison messaging that highlights your strengths without trademark issues.
Google Ads Integration
Section titled “Google Ads Integration”What permissions does Helios need?
Section titled “What permissions does Helios need?”Helios needs permission to:
- View your account structure (campaigns, ad groups, keywords)
- View keyword performance data
- Create and manage customizer attributes
Helios never modifies bids, budgets, or campaign settings.
How do customizers work with my existing ads?
Section titled “How do customizers work with my existing ads?”After pushing content, you’ll need to update your RSA ads to use customizer syntax. For example:

Will pushing content affect my existing ads?
Section titled “Will pushing content affect my existing ads?”No. Helios creates new customizer attributes—it doesn’t modify your existing ad copy. You control when to update your ads to use the customizers.
How quickly do changes appear in Google Ads?
Section titled “How quickly do changes appear in Google Ads?”Changes typically appear within 15-30 minutes after pushing. During busy periods, it may take up to an hour.
Performance & Optimization
Section titled “Performance & Optimization”When should I use the Optimizer?
Section titled “When should I use the Optimizer?”Wait at least 3 days after pushing content before using the Optimizer. Keywords need time to accumulate impression and click data for meaningful analysis.
What’s a “zombie” keyword?
Section titled “What’s a “zombie” keyword?”A keyword with fewer than 100 impressions after 14 days. This usually indicates the keyword isn’t being served often. The Optimizer suggests a “radical refresh” with completely different messaging angles.
How often should I regenerate content?
Section titled “How often should I regenerate content?”There’s no fixed schedule. Use the Optimizer to identify underperforming headlines and regenerate those specifically. Full regeneration is typically only needed when your brand messaging changes significantly.
Account & Security
Section titled “Account & Security”Is my data secure?
Section titled “Is my data secure?”Yes. Helios uses secure OAuth for Google Ads authentication. We don’t store your Google password. Your keyword data and generated content are encrypted at rest.
Can I disconnect my Google Ads account?
Section titled “Can I disconnect my Google Ads account?”Yes. Go to Settings → Connections and click “Disconnect.” This removes Helios’s access to your account. Note that customizers already pushed to Google Ads will remain—you’ll need to remove those manually if desired.
Do you share my data with third parties?
Section titled “Do you share my data with third parties?”No. Your account data, keywords, and generated content are never shared with third parties. We use AI services (Claude) for content generation, but only send the minimum context needed (keyword, landing page content, brand profile).
